Folsom Prison Riot Leaves 11 Wounded

But folks weren’t singing and clapping this week at the New Folsom Prison where a riot left eleven inmates hurt, one of them shot by a prison guard, they call them c

Prison officials are still trying to figure out what started the bedlam.

“It takes a couple of days to figure this out.’ Said Lt. Tony Quinn of the California Department of Corrections. ‘We’ll go over the surveillance video. Sometimes in these riots guys are just trying to get out of the way. They’re not really involved, so it takes a day or two to try and figure out who was actually involved and who was just a victim of wrong place, wrong time.”

Earlier this week, more than 100 hombres broke out of the Mexican prison just across the border from Eagle Pass, Texas. The Federales first said they escaped through a tunnel, but now they`re saying the inmates walked out the front door. The prison director and more than a dozen other employees are in custody and
have some serious explaining to do.
